Larrigan Family Sneak Peek

This weekend was also the Larrigan family’s photo shoot. This little guy was such a trooper for our session! The grass was really wet, the playground was drenched… and as we found out at the end of the session, there were bugs about. He and his big brother and sister were great despite all the craziness. Sottile Family Sneak Peek!

I’m sooo lucky! I get to watch these amazing little ones grow up! This little guy was one of my very first newborn/baby session’s – and now look at him! He’s running around singing his ABCs already! I’m always so glad when I get to see him again and catch all the little changes from session to session. Thanks to the Sottile family for a great morning!!

Cape San Blas – Our Family Vacation!

So this last week I was hanging out with my family. My whole family. A total of 21 of us fitting just barely into 3 vehicles with a UHaul taking everything (including the guy’s golf clubs… apparently they can’t leave home without them). We all went down to the Florida Panhandle – Cape San Blas to be exact. We’d worried for so long about the oil spill and as it turned out everything was absolutely gorgeous! Clear beautiful waters and sandy white beaches greeted us when we arrived.

We had such a great time! In the morning we’d take the kids to the beach to swim and you know what – the water was sooo great that they actually could swim in it! And at the end of the week it was so calm that we could walk out quite a distance with the kids and let them swim with the little fish in calm shallow water. It really was amazing and the little ones absolutely loved every minute of it! And every night we each took turns cooking everyone a feast and we dressed up for dinner every night. We didn’t eat out once the whole week and not one of us missed out. Then in the evening I’d sing on the deck with my sisters with the sun setting on the beach behind us… OK. So those of you that know me know that I personally didn’t sing toooo much (out of kindess to others) but it was great fun none-the-less.

My only regret was not taking my camera out more often. But even that I don’t regret too much. The time playing in the sand with my kids was priceless and I’ll never forget it. Pictures or not.

I wanted to thank my sister, Gianni, for stopping on our walk down the beach to take this shot of my family for me! I’m sooooo often not found in pictures…

Cristina and Nick – Engagement Session Sneak Peek!

Cristina and Nick had their engagement session over this holiday weekend and it was a blast! Turns out Old St. Charles is really, really neat! Filled with little shops and tons of history this was a great place for some amazing shots! Here’s just a couple of them. Thanks Cristina and Nick!!

Moebes Family Sneak Peek

Sunday afternoon I went to the Moebes family shoot. We were soo worried about the storm and it turned out that we managed the whole shoot without any trouble. In fact, right when we were leaving the lightning started up. I’d say that was perfect timing. I was sooo excited about this shoot I definitely didn’t want to reschedule this one – I’d done pictures for this family when it was just one little girl and now they have a beautiful little boy as well! It was great catching up! Thanks Moebes family for a really fun afternoon!

Early Sunday morning was the Kwong family’s photo shoot. It was great to be at a park so early! Definitely a wonderful way to start the day. Our shoot went really well – their daughter is such a smart little girl! Thanks to the Kwong family for a great morning!

Running in the Mud

Ok, yes, I did not in fact “run” the first annual Mud Run at Harrah’s to benefit the MS Society. My brave husband however did. And Saturday morning I stood out in the open sun, running through thorns, mud, water, hard and very uneven ground (in flip-flops!! what was I thinking????) in order to catch some of the highlights from his race. But it was so worth it. So much so that I am incredibly sorry I didn’t have the guts to sign up myself! This gruelling course took the majority of it’s runners more than an hour and a half to complete and I doubt even one of them would regret a moment of it. From the numerous mud pits (literally pits of watery mud), to the military walls, hurdles, tunnels and rope swings this was such an amazing event! Sean kept a great pace throughout the entire race pausing only a few times to help others on the race and still came in 4th by only 24 seconds. I don’t think I’ll be able to keep up his pace, but I’ll definitely give it a go for next year!!

Rickey Family Sneak Peek

So this Saturday I had quite a day. First – Mud Run at Harrah’s. Definitely another post. And early afternoon – another shoot for the Rickey family. This time though was special as it included extended family… Nelly, this adorable little monkey, was raised by the Rickey’s since she was only 2 weeks old and has become one of the family. Now little Nelly is off to a new home and we got together to get some great family portraits of all the kids. Thanks again to the Rickey family for keeping my day really unique!

Bradshaw Girls Sneak Peek

I just love, love, love Bee Tree Park! This weekend was the Bradshaw family’s photo shoot and the girls wore these completely adorable white dresses… that worked sooo well in the field of barely cut grass and wild flowers. I love that Bee Tree Park doesn’t always cut their grass. It gives such a whimsical look to the shots! Thanks Bradshaw girls for a wonderful Sunday afternoon!

Carrie + Andrew : The Sneak Peek!

Carrie and Andrew had an amazing wedding last Saturday! This is a seriously fun couple and I can’t say enough how happy I was to be able to shoot their wedding! This adventurous bride even scaled a wall… in her wedding dress!!… for the sake of a cool shot. That’s right – think about it girls. Climbing up a nearly 5ft tall wall in heels… and then add in a ballgown with a train… Carrie you definitely raised the bar. Seriously though, it was a great day! Congratulations again!!!
